The Company's products are used in communications, commercial, and consumer applications, including optical networks, entertainment, brand protection, and defense.
Requirement
JDSU approached Griffin Land in 1998 with a need to design a first class building to accommodate office, light industrial and assembly space as an expansion of there Windsor based facilities.
Response
Griffin Land responded with a Build-to-Suit initiative on an 11 acre parcel of land located at 1985 Blue Hills Avenue in Windsor, CT. As a collaborative effort between Griffin Land, JDSU, architects and engineers, the project took-off and resulted in a first class custom building delivered to our Tenant after only one (1) year following lease execution.
Result
 A fast track delivery to JDSU of their new 165,000 SF home. The building was custom built for them including many unique features such as 26+ foot clear heights and an interior mezzanine but was also designed as flex space. The long-term transaction included options for potential expansion onto two of the remaining adjacent parcels.
